Wednesday

Another Christmas with the Ellis family. Kristy and Chad cooked a yummy supper and invited us over. We enjoyed a night of exchanging gifts and playing games. They're the closest to family they we have here in Germany. I'm so thankful for our relationship with them.

Naughty or Nice?

From all the torn wrapping paper tossed on the floor...it looks like the Penney's were NICE this year. Kynsley was so happy that Santa brought her a BIG BIG kitchen. We were all so overwelmed and blessed with the gifts we recieved this year from family near and far. Scottie got an electric griddle from Kynsley and didn't waste any time to put it to use. He cooked us a delicious breakfast for Christmas morning. I read Luke 2 and reminded Kynsley that today was Jesus birthday and that was the real celebration of Christmas.

Christmas Eve Traditions

Scottie and I have had the Fondue Fest tradition for many years now. Its one of the things I always look forward to during the Christmas season. This was the first year that Kynsley has been able to enjoy fondue with us. I believe the chocolate fondue was her favorite. Scottie has been doing the advent calendar with Kynsley every night before she goes to bed. The excitement as each day passed as we waited for the arrival of Santa. We opened one gift before we went to bed(our new pjs) and I read Kynsley Twas the Night Before Christmas. It took her a little longer than usual to fall asleep but she finally gave it up. This night is always one of my favorites of the entire year. God has blessed us so much and I'm thankful that Scottie is home this year to help us celebrate the Christmas season.

Cookies for Santa

I love baking with Kynsley. She is always such a big help to me in the kitchen. She was so excited to get to make cookies for Santa. She was surprised to see that he had eaten ALL of the cookies she left for him except for one.

MP Christmas Party

Oh the weather ouside is.....

FREEZING!!! Kynsley is loving the snow this year. We were able to go out and play in the snow. It was a little too soft to build a snowman but we were able to watch her sled with some friends. After her first time down the hill I asked her what she thought she replied with a simple, "COOL"

Saturday

Preschool Christmas Party

Kynsley's preschool invited the parents for a morning of food and fun. Kynsley was excited that I was there and made me feel special. She kept telling me thank you and gave me lots of hugs during the party. After a special snack each child got to decorate sugar cookies. Kynsley was so proud of her decorating skills. I'm so glad I had the chance to be at the party with her.
