Just another day...

Scottie and the 527Th MP CO. are still working very hard. YES, he believes he needs to be there and there is work to be done ~ so STOP asking me! He enlisted for a reason!! And I don't know how I do it, I just do! YES I miss him, but we figured that God found the STRONGEST women in the world and made their match with a United States Soldier. Please STOP comparing your "out of town" trips with our 15 month separation ~ the reason you have your spouse at home is because my husband along with other BRAVE men and women are serving so your spouse doesn't have too! But we never say NO to prayer ~ because that is something we all need everyday! Just be SUPPORTIVE in every way you know how!

Apple Picking

After church last Sunday we drove up to mountain to go apple picking! Papa and granny are friends with the owners of the apple orchard. So we were able to go up to their house. He had already gathered his apples, cut them, and had them out drying. Once we loaded up all the apples for Granny to have for freezing, he asked me where my husband was. After he found out, he started giving me apples too (for free). He was the sweetest old man! He then took us over to see his hogs, he invited us back to get the "meat" this winter.

SCHS 10 yr. Class Reunion

10 years and not even 10 classmates showed up! For the ones who did, we enjoyed many laughs, toast, and time for catching up on each other lives. I had two dates, Melissa & Christi...the 3 of us were celebrating our birthdays which all fall within a week of each other. I love these girls and I'm so thankful that Christi and I both were in the states this year to spend this special weekend together!

We finally got to meet the newest addition to the Wingate family. Gavin Ray was born on Aug. 1, and weighed 9 lbs. 5oz. Shelly brought the baby up for a day to spend time with papa and granny. Kynsley and I went over and got to enjoy dinner and time with all of them. Her little Seth is something else~he is one of the funniest kids I've ever been around. With him and Kynsley together they are into EVERYTHING!
