VA Tech

Christi is almost a VET~after 10 years of college she deserve to be called a doctor. She is finishing out her last few weeks of school and is attending VA Tech. I was able to drive up to see her the other night. It just so happened to be St. Patrick's Day! After getting a tour of the Animal Hospital on campus and meeting her classmates and doctors, we went back to her apartment to hang out. We later went out to eat at Red Robin and then went to the mall. Although I'm not going to be attending her graduation this summer I'm so proud of all her accomplishments and I wish her the VERY BEST life has to offer as a VET.

our surprise~

When we arrived at church last night, Kynsley and I were so surprised. Betty & Tracy had made us this beautiful cake. We were given little cards, everyone in the church had written us words of encouragement and prayers. I'm so blessed and honored to call Pine Hill my home church.

Wednesday

Krispy Kreme

Monday, Kynsley and I had a mommie/daughter day in Winston. We went to Krispy Kreme for one last taste before we head back to Germany. To my surprise two of the workers recognized Kynsley from tv back in Dec. They treated her like a celebrity. They gave her a hat, balloon, and she got a whole box of the mini donuts all to herself. I looked at her in the store as she stood with a huge smile and said, "we look like we've been to a theme park"

Day trip to Hickory

My heart was so happy that we got to spend time with my God Family
over the weekend. We were able to visit Uncle John and
then go to Jayme's house for play time with Annie.

Sunday

It's Ladies Nite

The girls and I went out for one last time before I head back to Germany. We went out to eat and then back to Kara's to play cards. I love these girls and I'm so thankful for each step in life we've had to face together. I'm so blessed to have such great friends!

Tuesday

Valentines Day

A normal husband and wife get to spend the "love" holiday together. Once again, Scottie and I are apart. We woke up early and daddy took us out for breakfast. Then later we went over to Papa & Granny's were we enjoyed a yummy home cooked meal and spending time with the family. I had bought a kids cake mix for Valentines. All of us wanted to have part in helping Kynsley bake. I know we will treasure these moments. Her granny Patty helped get all the measurements and pour the ingredients. Aunt Joan helped her stir, then granny Jo and Kynsley decorated the cakes. We all ate the cake, (it was awful). But we had fun getting to share the memory! Even though I was away from the most important man in my life my loving family made it special for Kynsley and I. Scottie sent Kynsley a squishable and I got flowers. Along with the key to his heart locked in a safe(he is so romantic).

Let It Snow...Let It Snow...Let It Snow

We finally got a few inches of snow this week. When Kynsley was younger she did not enjoy being out in the cold. But she was so excited to get all bundled up and play in the snow. She wanted to build a snowman for her daddy, we had to add a lil' Americana to him. We hope you like it daddy!! Thanks to papa who spent time out in the cold weather playing with us!! I know its moments like this Kynsley will always remember!
