Relay for LIFE

Every year our church teams up with another local church to walk in the annual, Relay for Life. I was actually disappointed in the turn out we had! It being for such a good cause! But those who did come we enjoyed our time together.
Lanny Jr. kept everyone happy by serving up grilled hotdogs! The kids had a great time they enjoyed activites such as a cake walk, jumping gym, and other carnival games. Many groups set up and had different food items for purchase. I think the Funnel Cakes were a big hit for one group. There were also many ticket drawings, and on the main stage, they had "relay IDOL". I'm sure they raised a good donation for the American Cancer Society!

My little buddy! Lyric and Malachi spent the night with us on Saturday! Lyric and I played dress up..she did my make-up! It was so much fun! I love spending time with her!

Flower

My granny Jo is always so proud of her flowers, but this bush has bloomed so beautiful! I just had to share one of God's amazing creations. I love that He has made such beautiful things in life for us to enjoy.

My dads cousin, Ray Edwards, from Nashville, TN came to Dobson this past weekend. His Bluegrass band, Trinity Mountain Boys, performed at Fisher River Park. www.rayedwardsbluegrass.com Some of my dads family got together last minute and had a picnic, thanks to my Aunt Serena! I enjoyed listening to the music but I really loved getting to spend time with my family. My Aunt Patsy and Uncle Jim even came up from Wilmington. The kids played in the creek and as you can see Devin, had lots of fun in the MUD! Kynsley fell asleep while Jimmy Ray was playing and every time the music would stop she would look up! Mary...are you sure you didn't want that bear? I love my family, and I love getting to spend time with all of them. Thanks everyone for making the night possible! Love you all!
