Friday

and then there were 5

We finally got to meet the newest addition to the Wingate family. Gavin Ray was born on Aug. 1, and weighed 9 lbs. 5oz. Shelly brought the baby up for a day to spend time with papa and granny. Kynsley and I went over and got to enjoy dinner and time with all of them. Her little Seth is something else~he is one of the funniest kids I've ever been around. With him and Kynsley together they are into EVERYTHING!

Thursday

A day of play and exploring

One of my favorite parts about taking Kynsley to the museum is each section has a book to read with the theme. Although we still haven't mastered sitting down and listening to a FULL story I enjoy reading them aloud while she runs around and plays!

Almost Home...

Scottie and I have many memories or things that remind us each of "where we came from". HOME~although its "small" when I see Pilot Mountain as I drive down the road I know that I'm almost home...and thats comfort to me. I often forget to praise God for the smallest things He has given me. I believe I overlook the obvious...but I'm so thankful for the "small" "amazingly beautiful" things in my life He has blessed me with.

My new dance leotard...

Thank you Uncle Casey & Aunt Joye for my new Dance Leo.
Dance is going well...last week as we're driving she tells me she doesn't want to go back to dance anymore. I start asking the normal questions, why? whats wrong? She says, "they're mean mama" "who Kynsley" "those teaches" she said, I then get all concerned and asked her what do they do? With her little lip poked out she starts the sniffles, you know those kind ~ if you're a mother, the FAKE ones!!! "They yell at me"...so I amuse her by asking, "what do they yell"?? With a loud voice she says, "KYNSLEY SIT DOWN" I started laughing so hard I had tears. I told her its obvious she is not being a good listener and she better have on her listening ears.

New Smyrna Beach, FL

If you want a relaxing beach to just enjoy time with the family and sun~New Smyrna Beach, FL is the place. We split our trip up and got away from the "tourist" of Orlando and traveled north. What a wonderful few days we had. Although a hurricane was out about 75 miles we enjoyed a day inside. Reading, napping, coloring, and watching tv. I was able to spend time with another Army gal~Brandy drove down from Jacksonville to have dinner with me. We went out to a local BBQ place and then walked on the beach. It was comforting to have to have someone with me who understood exactly what I'm going through. After the storm passed us by~the next day we were able to get out on the beach and the pool. Kynsley has become a little fish over the summer and loves to "jump in all by herself".
