My dads cousin, Ray Edwards, from Nashville, TN came to Dobson this past weekend. His Bluegrass band, Trinity Mountain Boys, performed at Fisher River Park. www.rayedwardsbluegrass.com Some of my dads family got together last minute and had a picnic, thanks to my Aunt Serena! I enjoyed listening to the music but I really loved getting to spend time with my family. My Aunt Patsy and Uncle Jim even came up from Wilmington. The kids played in the creek and as you can see Devin, had lots of fun in the MUD! Kynsley fell asleep while Jimmy Ray was playing and every time the music would stop she would look up! Mary...are you sure you didn't want that bear? I love my family, and I love getting to spend time with all of them. Thanks everyone for making the night possible! Love you all!
We attended the NCYM this year held in Black Mountain, NC. I enjoyed the time with my family and the fellowship with friends! Two of my favorite people from White Plains friends, Francis Bolick and Bessie McMillion, We enjoyed their company at all the meals. I loved sharing stories and our fellowship time with them! And our girls night! Ganny Patty, would take Kynsley out on the porch so she could her the creek flowing, and the birds chirpping! I know my daddy will always cherish these moments with her! And I never want to forget them! The area was so beautiful, I loved being able to sit out on the porch and listen to the little creek that was flowing through the campus and Kynsley just wanted to get in it! You guessed it, she's eating watermelon again! Francis didn't mind sharing hers with Kynsley!
Kynsley took her first steps on Wednesday night, Aug. 30. We were over visiting our grandparents, and she took 3 stops over to my mama! I was so excited, and you know me I was cheering!! I'm so proud of her! I didn't get any shots in action but I took these while we were celebrating!
DeAnna and I would talk when we were younger and say, We can't wait til the day when we're driving around and passing "goldfish" to our little kids in the back seat! And now we do! I've enjoyed my time with De and Toria since we've been home! Kynsley loves her playdates!
Kynsley is now drinking her juice out of a sippy cup. She is such a Big girl...and she is already getting those Big girl attitude moments! You know those its my way or no way, and yup I crumble like a cookie!
Granny Jo, has a doll in her bedroom, that she lets no one touch! The doll belong to her sister and she doesn't want anyone to mess her up. Kynsley, on the other hand thinks she is real! And she is a little jealous, whenever Granny Jo or Ganny Patty gives her hugs, Kynsley cuddles up close to them! As soon as we get to Papa and Granny's house, Kynsley starts looking into their bedroom for the baby doll! She remembers she is in there!
We were leaving downtown Gatlinburg, we when noticed a few people crowded around a small bridge overlooking a stream. There was a cub, playing around! He was just too cute! There were a few statues of bears also in the area, and he was walking around them!
Kynsley sits up on one knee, and she claps and says, "YEAH" Can't ever get enough time with Papa and Ganny The Applebarn, where you can find the BEST fried apple pies! The mountains are so peaceful and the views are amazing!
I'm a outgoing, country gal! I love the spending time with my amazing husband and beautiful daughter, which the Lord has blessed me with. I love sitting around a board game or a game of cards with family and friends!
