The Discovery Place

After checking into our hotel we asked the receptionist for ideas to pass time in downtown. She sent us to the Discovery Place. Once there I remembered going once on a school field trip. Even though the majority of the place is for children Scottie and I had a BLAST together! The museum is filled with science, animals, and many interaction discoveries.

Are you serious?

We didn't have to go to the West Coast after all. On our way to Charlotte, I remembered there was a Jack in the Box in Statesville. For the first week every time we'd ask Scottie where he wanted to eat he'd say "Jack in the Box" knowing it was something I couldn't full fill for him! But when we got off the interstate and he saw the sign, he started laughing and smiling and he looked at me and said, "are you serious".

We Support You

My Sunday School class along with a few family and friends got together while Scottie was home to have a "We Support You" party. Around 40 people stopped by to have snacks and give Scottie words of encouragement and hugs! We both really appreciate all the love and support from our community! I know its a surprise but I talked most of the time and didn't take many photos...so the few I took ~ enjoy!

Sunday at Scotties "We Support You party". Michelle finally got Kynsley asleep, she was so tired and once she laid her down on Papa & Granny's bed I thought she looked like a little ladybug laying there!

A night out

We got the chance to go out with 2 of my favorite couples in the world last Saturday night. Believe me our night was full of laughter and RUDE people!! Love these girls !

Championship Game

Lyrics little league basketball team went undefeated the entire season. But last Saturday for the Championship game they lost by only 1 point. It was sad but they played a good game!

A unique Salad Bar

On our way home from the beach, we took Hwy 421. There is nothing on this road for miles and miles! We were all so hungry and there was nothing in site! After about an hour and half of driving, Scottie discovered this little restaurant and pulled right in. All you can eat Buffet for $6.00. To our surprise the salad bar was in the bed of a pick up truck! I thought this was so funny!

USS North Carolina

I thought Scottie would enjoy the chance to step aboard on a US Navy Ship. He loved it. My favorite part was getting to read the signs with all the memories of the crew members from when the ship was active.

NC Aquarium at Fort Fisher

We took Kynsley to the Fort Fisher Aquarium. She really enjoyed getting to see all the different types of fish. Our favorite part had to be the touch tank, even though Kynsley grabbed a fish and brought it out of water(hopefully its still alive).
