Kyndon had lots of guests to visit him in the hospital. Thank you to all of my PWOC ladies...you're truly my Army family. Chad, Kristy, and Kamryn spent the day with us. Kristy has been the greatest friend to me over the last few years. I'm so thankful they were here to share the birth of our son.

the BIG SISTER

Kyndon Scott Penney

God blessed our lives again by entrusting us with a son. Kyndon Scott was born at 11:27am on March 19, 2010. Weighing 6 pounds 1.6oz. and 19 1/2 inches long. He is just beautiful.

We checked in to the hospital around 8am. Frau Wagner(my mid-wife) started preparing me for delivery. I had already told her during a prior visit that I had "drugs" with Kynsley and would want them for this birth as well. Unlike Americans, Germans are all about " ALL NATURAL". Needless to say around 10am after walking and contracting for about an hour she asked if I'd like to get into the warm tub to contract. She told me that my body would be able to relax and I would dilate quicker. From the time I'd heard about the water birth I was against it but relaxing sounded GREAT!!

Scottie said he knew once I was in that tub around 10:45am I would never get out. He was right...Kyndon came into the world at 11:27am.

Thank you all for your PRAYERS...Kyndon is a true gift of our Heavenly Father.

9 months and waiting

What a fun Saturday afternoon. Kynsley and I went to the store and bought paint. She waited for 2 days to "paint the baby belly". Scottie and Kynsley painted my belly like a GIANT baseball. The plan later is to take photos of the baby with his baseball outfit on and frame them in his room.

Showers of Blessings

I'm so blessed by my Army Family. Kristy and Ronica had a fun filled baby shower for me a few weeks ago.
I was "showered" with many gifts for our baby boy.
We played a few games...I should mention the toliet paper game. So how many squares around do you think I am?? Kynsley guessed it just right. We were all shocked that she got it. The candy game brought many laughs. The game is simple but requires creative thinking. Kristy would give a word associated with "baby" and you have to yell out which candy best describes that word. Here were a few.....Coos & Giggles(Snickers), Infant Girl(Baby Ruth), Nursery Shopping(Spree). When the guest got the right answer their prize was the actual candy.
Each guest left with a party favor. A wrapped cinnamon roll tied with ribbon. The thank you tag also had the quote, "April's got a bun in the oven".
My heart was sadden that my mom and family couldn't be with me to help celebrate but these girls are wonderful friends and I'm truely grateful for their love and support during my pregnancy.
