Wednesday

and then there's ballet

Kynsley is now taking ballet on post. Although for now she is the only American girl in the class. The teacher will instruct Kynsley in English and then she will instruct in German. Maybe Kynsley will start picking up on some of the German words. In the states, I wasn't allowed to stay and watch, but I've been able to sit in on the classes. I'm not sure if its a good idea or not, she came over to me twice last night just to give me a kiss.

Monday

Mother's Day Tea Party

Kynsley and I hosted a Mothers Day Tea party for the moms and wives of our PLT. We enjoyed Sweet Tea, Lemonade, Chicken Salad sandwiches, veggies, fruit, hummus, and cupcakes.
I had contacted all the ladies ahead of time and had each to confess a "fact" that the rest of us didn't know. Once at the party I had the others to try and figure out which wife went with each fact. I did learn a few things about the other wives I never would of guessed. We actually have a real Harley girl, and Texas Hold 'em champ in our PLT. Not to mention the track star, "farmer", and olympic participate. Oh yeah how could I forget...one was caught by the police after having her first "parking" experience with her hubby! The game brought so much laughter, we have to try this at the next PLT BBQ when the soldiers get back!

We ended up spending the entire afternoon chatting in the picnic area. I believe all the kids were exhausted after getting to spend all that time on the playground. Kynsley was so dirty when we got home, it took me forever to scrub the sand out of her hair. But when she was getting ready for bed she said, "this is my life. I had a great day" I guess this is what Mother's day is ALL about, getting to see the joy in your childs eye.

Sunday

Our Hat Tradition

As I handed her the hat this year, she put it on and said, "its not fitting me" I can't believe how much of a little girl she is turning into. I'm so blessed to have a healthy, smart, beautiful girl in my life I get to call MY daughter. Although I feel like her horns hold up her halo, I thank God EVERY day for the joy she brings in my life. The hat is a reminder to me everyday not just on Mother's Day how special she is.

Chown Hall thats right the Chown Hall

One of my highlights every week is picking the day we go on post for dinner. Kynsley has re-named the DFAC the CHOWN HALL. With only being back in town for a month we're now familiar faces when we come through the line. The chefs make jokes how Kynsley will aske for corn or broccoli and not the fries. I loved my meal the other day, I know there has to be a Southern Soldier back there in that kitchen, even the tea was sweet!

Friday

A few good men & ladies(only SOME)

Scottie and the 527th working hard. It has been a while since I posted photos of Scottie doing what he does best. He has been doing well lately. Keep praying for him and the entire 2nd PLT of the 527th MP CO. This is for all of my family and friends that said with the NEW government change my husband would be home in a matter of months~wow~it amazes me that I've not seen him yet!!!!

Wednesday

Jungle Jam Celebration

Kristy and I took the girls to another post over the weekend. April is the month of the Military Child and they had a Jungle Jam Celebration in honor of all military children. I believe that all to often that the sacrifice these kids make everyday is forgotten.

We enjoyed the food, fun, and games.

Did I mention FOOD?

Kynsley enjoyed jumping on the bouncies and even spent a little time at the craft table. I loved that they had a little fence set up so we could write a message on it to our soldier. Then tie the yellow ribbon to stay on the fence.

We met up with other families from our PLT and I think we all had a WILD time. Right before we left we saw the Dare officer for our community. We just had to get a photo with the lion. Who knew it would be so much trouble to get all the kids looking at one time?!?!?!

About Me

My photo
I'm a outgoing, country gal! I love the spending time with my amazing husband and beautiful daughter, which the Lord has blessed me with. I love sitting around a board game or a game of cards with family and friends!
