Gummi Smile

She may look like her daddy but she has my personality..she is a happy baby! We love getting her to laugh. Its so amazing seeing life through her. All the different faces she makes...she already has us wrapped around her tiny fingers!

LOVE DAY!

I hate Valentines, its seems I have some kind of curse on me and this "holiday". I plan on spending the day with Kynsley, she had four shots this morning and she has been a little sad. It broke my heart this morning in the doctor office when Scottie and I had to hold her down. Scottie took us out for breakfast and then he had to go to work. So I'm blessed to spend the day with the True Love of my Life, my little princess!

Saturday

Life for us lately

Things in Orlando are going well. I love getting to stay home with Kynsley. I mostly enjoy seeing her face when we go to new places. Sounds she hears, senses she smells, sights she sees, all for the first time in her life. Life through a child is amazing. She is so full of personality, she gets that from me, her looks, well she gets that from her daddy! We're so blessed to have our angel her with us on earth.

Sunday

I love my Grandparents!

Kynsley loved spending time with her grandparents while they were in town.

Daytona International Speedway

The day we visited the Daytona Speedway, they were actually doing some practice runs. It was so loud!

Daytrip to Daytona Beach

I'm such a beach bum, so I was so excited to take Kynsley to the beach. The water was a little bit too cold to dip her feet in but we still enjoyed our time there. Scotts parents and brother Adam were in town. We walked along the boardwalk and visited Daytona International Speedway.

Saturday

My angel

I took this picture of Kynsley taking a little snooze. She is so precious and has been a joy to our lives. I love her so much. I sit and kiss on her all day. I have started back to work. I'm working with the Entertainment Global Scheduling at WDW. I'm so lucky to have such wonderful co-workers to help me get through the day. I miss her so much. Scottie will be watching her while I'm at work on the weekends. Good Luck daddy with those yucky diaper changes!!

The family

Christmas Day

We got up and mama fixed a yummy breakfast. Donna, Lyric, and Malachi came over to open up presents. We had so much fun watching them rip into their gifts. We later went over to Larry and Marys to spend Christmas with the Childress side. We had a great time there. We laughed so hard at my daddy when he read a story about Santa getting a cold. AACCHHOOO!!! AACCCHHOOO!! We also played a scavenger hunt in the tree....where is that little red pine cone??? Jamie and Derek were also in town, so Donna and I really enjoyed spending time with our cousins! What a great Christmas!

4 Generations

4 Generations...yeah thats pretty cool huh? But whats so unique about our family is we're all the youngest child of our family. Yup, you're looking at 4 spoiled rotten babies! Josephine, Patty Christine, April Annette, and Kynsley Reese!

Christmas

Christmas came early for us this year. Scottie took us to North Carolina to be with my family. What a wonderful gift. My niece Lyric, was so happy to see the baby. She said, "I feel like its a dream". She would sit and hold her, and just look at her. We surprised my grandparents. They were so happy to have their new Great-grandaughter home for the holidays. Kynsley is their 14 Great-grandchild. Even though we didn't have snow it was nice to be in cooler weather. We went Christmas caroling with the McKinneys, it was Scotties first time ever and he really enjoyed it. Thanks to everyone for a great Christmas!

Our Baby Girl

Just wanted to post some pics from the hosptial. I'm so thankful that my parents made it in time. I loved being at Arnold Palmer, not your average hospital. Everyone was extremely nice. Did I mention they had great food. Room service I might add. Here are lots of photos of Kynsley!

Tuesday

Kynsley Reese Penney

We welcomed our baby girl into the world on Saturday, December 10, 2005 at 8:00p.m. After 32 hours of labour Kynsley weighed 7 lbs. 2 oz. and was 19 1/2 inches long. She is so beautiful and has been a joy to our lives.

Thursday

Getting Ready for Halloween

We had so much fun carving our pumpkins. Scottie gave his a scary face and I gave mine a smile with a heart nose. Jasmine was very curious especially about our scarecrow!

Epcot International Food & Wine Festival

We spent an evening at Epcot we're we strolled the World Showcase. For those who don't know what the Food & Wine Fest is....Disney brings in countries from all over the world to set up kiosk of their most famous dishes and drinks. Besides the 11 countries in the World Showcase they're many others. Scottie tasted a wine from South Africa and he said it was gross. We went to America were we sat in on Sam Adams class. Can you believe they served me? And NO I didn't drink it....but we had so much fun. The night ended with cuddling up watching Illuminations!

Harvest Festival

At Celebration we enjoyed the live bands, food, and shops. They had leaves falling over downtown, and every corner was decorated!

Pumpkin Patch

We went to Celebration to their pumpkin patch. We had so much looking at all the different sizes and colors of the pumpkins. My belly was bigger than many of the pumpkins they had!!

Friday

Mark Schultz concert

She walked to the mailbox On that bright summers day Found a letter from her son In a war far away
He spoke of the weather And good friends that he'd made Said I'd been thinking 'bout dad And the life that he had Thats why I'm here today And that the end he said You are what I'm fighting for It was the first of the letters from war
She started writing You're good and you're brave What a father that you'll be someday make it home make it safe
She wrote every night as she prayed
Late in December A day she'll not forget Oh her tears stained the paper With every word that she read
It said "I was up on a hill I was out there alone When the shots all rang out And bombs were exploding And thats when I saw him He came back for me And though he was captured A man set me free And that man was your son He asked me to write to you I told him i would, oh I swore" It was the last of the letters from war
And she prayed he was living Kept on believing And wrote every night just to say
You are good And you're brave what a father that you'll be someday Make it home Make it safe Still she kept writing each day
Then two years later Autumn leaves all around A car pulled in the driveway And she fell to the ground And out stepped a captain Where her boy used to stand
He said "mom I'm following orders From all of your letters And I've come home again", He ran into hold her And dropped all his bags on the floor Holding all of her letters from war
Bring him home
One day in the car Scottie says to me, I love this song! So we started searching for the Mark Schultz cd, with the song "Letters from War". We couldn't find it anywhere. So our local radio station Z 88.3 www.Zradio.org has a segment where once a week they "Make someone Happy" So I wrote in asking if they could make Scottie happy and help us find this cd. That was about 2 months ago, still no cd! On Tuesday, Oct. 18, I received a call at work from the afternoon DJ, Lisa Williams. She asked if I would still like to make Scottie happy? She explained that the cd just came out that weekend before and they have a copy to give to Scottie. They also gave him a DVD of Marks latest tour. I was so excited! But then she says, "giving someone just a cd is not good enough for us, as you may already know Mark is going to be in town this Saturday night for a private concert, and we've chosen Scottie to be a honored guest on the front row." I bursted out into tears thanking her over and over again. She was asking me all these questions about us and Scottie's career in the USAirforce, I was trying to talk to her but I couldn't stop crying! That Saturday night we went to the Mark Schultz concert. He sang all of our favorite songs, "He's my son", "Remember Me", many others, and Letters from War." We both got to go back stage and meet Mark. What a night to remember. We were so thankful to be there and so honored to be "special guest"!!

Wednesday

Baby Shower

My mommie planned for us to have a shower when we were in NC. We received so many nice gifts from many friends and family. My sister Beverly and my Aunt Serena decorated the house and my Aunt Serena made our delicious cake. Thank you so much to everyone who came to our shower and thank you for all of the gifts!

MMMM......Smores

When we went to NC my daddy had the great idea of building a fire and making smores. We never got to the bomb fire but we made smores on the grill! They were so messy and soooo yummy!
