We celebrated Donna's birthday with an evening at home. We had Grilled Chicken Salads and I baked her a cake. Kynsley insisted on helping her blow out her candles.
Kynsley and I made it home to NC, in time for the annual NCYM weekend trip to Black Mountain. We spent the afternoon walking around in the antique and gift shops. The ice cream parlor was closed but Papa took us to McDonalds instead. I was so happy to get a carmel sundae. Papa and ganny spent time with Kynsley on the playgrond at the retreat. I've always said I was a beach girl but I really enjoy being in the mountains...don't tell Scottie
Michael(my double 1st cousin) and Jessica were married Saturday, September 1, 2007 in Winston-Salem, NC. The wedding was very beautiful and both bride and groom were all smiles during the ceremony. I have to say that these two are my guardian angels considering Kynsley and I were suppose to leave Frankfurt, Germany on the 5th, but we changed our tickets to the 29th of August to make it in time for the wedding. Many of you know about the terroist acts that happened on the 5th in Frankfurt. I'm so thankful God had His hand on us. Congrats to the Newlyweds! I'm so happy for you both and your family!
After 11 hours of flight time we finally made it to NC. We were so happy to see Papa Don! Kynsley actually did a great job...for the most part! Thanks again for all the prayers to get us home safely!
I'm a outgoing, country gal! I love the spending time with my amazing husband and beautiful daughter, which the Lord has blessed me with. I love sitting around a board game or a game of cards with family and friends!
