Saturday

From the Front Gate....

to our front door. I just wanted to share with everyone what Scottie will see when he arrives HOME!

Friday

Spiel Oasa

Spiel Oase is an in-door playground for young and old alike. So kick off your shoes and enjoy the FUN!!!
Kynsley and I went with my ladies bible study group to spend the day. Its the perfect place to go to let the kids run wild. I enjoyed my time getting to know all the ladies in the group.
The place is filled with trambolines, bikes, slides, bouncies, ping-pong tables, and even a volleyball court. I'm not sure what Kynsley liked the best but she loved that she could drive the cars around the track. She also enjoyed getting rides on the bikes from the lil' boys!
We really need one of these close to home in NC.

Saturday

In her eyes...

In my daughter's eyes, I am a hero.
I am strong an' wise,
And I know no fear.
But the truth is plain to see:
She was sent to rescue me,
I see who I wanna be, in my daughter's eyes.

In my daughter's eyes, everyone is equal,
Darkness turns to light,
And the world is at peace.
This miracle God gave to me,
Gives me strength when I am weak.
I find reason to believe, in my daughter's eyes.

An' when she wraps her hand around my finger,
Oh, it puts a smile in my heart.
Everything becomes a little clearer.
I realise what life is all about.
It's hangin' on when your heart has had enough;
It's givin' more when you feel like givin' up.
I've seen the light: it's in my daughter's eyes.

In my daughter's eyes, I can see the future.
A reflection of who I am,
An' what will be.
An' though she'll grow an', some day, leave:
Maybe raise a family,
When I'm gone, I hope you'll see,
How happy she made me,
For I'll be there, in my daughter's eyes.

Table for 2

Kynsley and Christopher at the Chow Hall on Sunday afternoon. Those silly kids and their funny faces!

Gettin' Ready

I just wanted to post a few photos of us getting ready for the BIG reunion. I didn't want to post the signs we hung for Scottie(in fear he might see them) We've all been working hard to get the post, barracks, and even our homes ready for the BIG DAY!!! I've joked that I'm in some sort of "nesting" period. Our house in so clean I would eat off the floor. We still have a few things to get done but other than that WE'RE READY FOR DADDY!!!!!

Waiting for a REAL kiss!

Once we arrived back in Germany, I had to find a way to help Kynsley count down the days until her daddy was to arrive home. I found an idea that was "yummy!" We filled a pitcher with Hershey Kisses. Each night before bed, Kynsley gets to get a "kiss from daddy." She knows that once all the candies are gone that means she gets a REAL KISS FROM DADDY!!! I have to admit I'm excited about that part too.

Monday

Parents Night Out

The Child Development Center on post sometimes will host special events. Recently they had the center opened at night and offered a parents night out. I went out to eat with Ronica, Anita, and Christy and we left the kids at the CDC. Usually there is a fee for but since our husbands are deployed our kids got to go for FREE. This was the first time I had left Kynsley at the center. She went right in the classroom and started playing with the kitchen. When I picked her up later that night she told me she didn't play with the boys just the girls. Now when we pass by the center she'll ask if she can go play there again. Hopefully they will offer more events like this in the future so Scottie and I can have a date night. I really enjoyed getting to hang out with the ladies and having "adult" time.

Movin' on up

We finally got Kynsley a Twin Bed for her room. Thanks to Suzanne & Nancy for the Snow White sheets!! Since we've moved back to Germany, I've been having trouble getting her to stay in her bed all night. But since she got her new bed I've had no problems. I was telling her the other day how proud I am of her. She looks at me like I'm clueless and says, "I told you I just wanted a BIG bed" She is such a Lil' Miss Sassy Pants.

When driving in Germany....

You have to think TIGHT thoughts.

Sunday

FREE BOWLING!!!!

This past week we enjoyed the perks of Military Spouse Appreciation week. One of those was FREE bowling. A few of us wives met up at the alley on post and spent the afternoon together. This was Kynsley's first time getting to bowl. She was excited, she used the ramp and even got a STRIKE one time.
I'm so thankful for the wives in my PLT as well as my neighbors who make days like these so much fun.

Cinco de Mayo Celebration

The celebration for Cinco de Mayo was a few weeks after the actual holiday. Kynsley and I went to the Chow Hall for lunch and then walked outside on the front lawn for the celebration. She got her face painted, enjoyed a BIG cupcake, and won the first round of the cake walk. They had all kinds of food to sample and were planning on busting open a pinata later in the afternoon.
