Yummy Gummies

We joined our Womens Bible Study group for an outing. Our first stop was the Trolli candy outlet. We were able to stock up on all kinds of gummies!

Memorial Day Picnic

Kristy & Kamryn invited all of us over to their playground for a picnic. Ronica brought a slip and slide and I wasn't prepared so Kynsley borrowed one of Kamryns swim suits so she could play. The afternoon was filled with food and fun. Although on our hearts we all were thinking of the sacrifice that our husbands and fellow soldiers make each day.

Thursday

Ansbach Fest

I love the Spring time in Germany. Although I could do without the pollen and sniffles. I love that each town celebrates with a fest.

The girls and I went downtown yesterday to enjoy the sunshine and the FOOD. You can see a trend with me can't you! After letting Kynsley ride one of the kiddie rides we headed right towards the chocolate covered strawberries. This is my favorite part of ANY German Fest. I'm not sure why they're so yummy but they are!

Lynn and Megan rode the Big girl ride, and Kynsley cried the whole time. She wanted to ride so badly. I couldn't get her to understand that she was just too little. With those big tears and a puckered lip she said, "but mama, I promise I'm not scared"

The pretzel photo is just for you mama and daddy! Gotta love those Bavarian pretzels!!

Tuesday

Photo Shop FUN

My sweet husband sent me the PERFECT gift. I've been wanting a photo shop for a while. He ordered a software for me, and an hour later, I'm totally hooked. Hope you enjoy the photos I've worked on.

Saturday

Hawaiian Luau

In celebration of Asian Pacific Heritage the local school had a luau. Kynsley and I spent our Friday night dancing the hula. Well not really~but she did enjoy getting to play the "carnival" games. We enjoyed a festive Hawaiian supper. Kynsley surprised everyone when she wanted to bob for apples. Guess what? With a little help, she grabbed one by the stem. She was so proud of herself. She even ate the entire apple while I shopped around at the silent basket auction. Although someone did out bid me I enjoyed our night.

Friday

My Sweet LOVE

So I thought I'd share a few "stories" that have happened since we've been back in Germany. Those who've been around my sweet love know that she can sometimes be a handful but for the most part, she keeps me laughing.

The other night after dance I always try to have a "quick" meal. I wasn't all that hungry so I opened up a can of UUMMM UMMMM good chicken noodle soup. I filled Kynsley a bowl full and sat it down on the table. She hopped into her seat and took a look at her supper. She gave me a "what is this look" and said, "what ~ we're having water" I couldn't stop laughing. I normally make all of our soups from scratch so I think she was a little confused on what I was feeding her. She didn't like it but she ate most of the "watered soup" and then told me right before bed, maybe next time we can just have something else.

We talk to my family often, and at least to my sister, Aunt DA-DA once a week. The other night Kynsley informs her that she has not had a "good bath" in a long time. Donna asked her why not? Kynsley says, "well all I want to do is take a warm bath and relax, mama always comes in to see if I'm okay" "I just want a little bit of privacy" Donna and I thought, here a 3 year old is needing to relax and have privacy. We're does she get this stuff from?

I had a few friends over to celebrate Cinco de Mayo. One of the wives had already seen Kynsley's "Miss America walk" so she asked Kynsley to show everyone else. After Kynsley did her walk she went back to her starting point. She pulled her blue jeans up over her belly, (like Steve Urkel) and said, "HEY, I'm Papa Don, from North Carolina" Everyone just busted into laughter, but me, I could hardly catch my breath. At home Kynsley would make everyone in the room also do the Miss America walk, and well that is exactly what my dad would do. She is such a little entertainer.

Wednesday

Flower Power

This morning it was Spring Cleaning for our post. Everyone spent time cleaning in our stairwells as well as around our buildings. They were also giving out FREE flowers and all the supplies to each apartment. Since we were the first ones to arrive, the gentlemen let Kynsley pick out which flowers she wanted. We were able to help plant our flowers and bring them home. Although it took me a little while to figure out how to use the German hooks I finally got it. The flowers look beautiful in our windows and I look forward to watching them grow.
